Our Principals & Partners
Vid Wadhwani has over 25 years of senior management experience in both the public and private sector. He has served on the Board of Directors and has held senior executive positions with a number of Canadian public companies.
Vid has worked with several prominent investment firms as a senior financial advisor and brings with him extensive knowledge of the capital markets in both Canada and the United States. His previous position as a financial analyst working with a broad spectrum of companies in a wide range of industries gives him considerable experience in the preparation of business plans, financial projections, valuations, and financial statements for both public and private companies.
On his spare time, Vid enjoys coaching track & field and cross country. He currently resides in Maple Ridge, B.C. with his wife Alanna and 4 children.
David C. Carkeek
David C. Carkeek has over 26 years’ experience in business management and entrepreneurial ventures. Dave's foundations were set in the late 80’s as a Senior Program Consultant to the Ontario Hospital Association where he managed a $10 million annual provincial fund to encourage hospitals and health care facilities to introduce and establish management systems, processes and procedures that would lead to more cost effective use of resources. He gained insight into identifying significant needs and trends in the industry and oversaw the creation of new policies and corporate strategies to address these needs.
Dave currently resides in Nanaimo, B.C. with his best friend Lucy.
Salah Abi Farage
Salah Farage brings over 30 years of work experience in the real estate, finance, hotel management and technology sectors. Salah specializes in international relations and has worked with clients on projects all around the world. Through his vast network, he has assisted many public and private companies develop strategic relationships and partnerships throughout the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
Through his strong contacts in various countries, he has helped companies secure project financing as well as local government support where needed. He has also assisted many international investors access investment opportunities directly in Canada and the US through structured financing partnerships.
Salah currently resides in Vancouver, B.C. with his wife and 2 children.
Ross has over 30 years international experience in senior management positions both in the corporate and private sector. He has served on the Regional Board of Directors for an International Banking Group previously, specifically to motivate the approval of Flexible Financing Packages for High Value Clients.
Ross has extensive experience in the banking, finance, property development, construction and industrial manufacturing industries, as well as an entrepreneurial background. His expertise encompasses credit risk assessment, financial analysis, business plans, valuations, project management, business development, sales, operations and general management skills.
Ross resides in Port Coquitlam, BC with his wife Shirlee and they have 5 children. He is a sports enthusiast and has been actively involved in various team and individual sporting activities throughout his life. He currently enjoys hiking and golfing.

Brent Green, CPA
Brent has been a CPA for over twenty years and is currently an international consultant at Global Tax Services. GTS is a boutique CPA firm that specializes in assisting nonresident investors with their US tax reporting matters. This expertise adds considerable value to Deviser's Advisory Team and provides Deviser’s non US resident Business Partners access to US tax planning, preparation and review of corporation, S-corporation and partnership multi-state tax returns as well as preparation of reviewed and compiled financial statements.
Tai Silvey adds considerable value and business development experience to Deviser's Advisory Team. He has held key roles with many innovative brand companies including Evo Car Share where he has assisted them in formulating and launching their rapid growth strategy across Canada. In addition to Tai’s business development expertise, he also brings extensive real estate experience to the Deviser Team. He has been active with several companies in the development space, including his participation in high level strategic planning with British Pacific Properties, owned by the Guinness brewing family, to further develop the ‘Highlands’ an exclusive residential development located in West Vancouver’s well known British Properties.
Ali Baydoun is a US real estate market specialist based in Detroit, Michigan. He is the founder and Director of the US Investor Group, a company that specializes in working with non-residents of the US and foreign investment firms. With a network of international agents located in major markets around the world, Ali has helped investors acquire and finance over twenty million dollars of real estate in the US since the global financial crisis in 2008. Ali is also a freelance writer and has published several articles focused on real estate as well as helpful guides to investing. He is a frequent contributor and guest host on Detroit radio programs focusing on City politics, development, and policy. Ali adds considerable value to Deviser's Advisory Team assisting the company with valuation, due diligence and financing on US real estate projects as required.
Dr. Daniel R. Gouws
Dr. Daniel R. Gouws, provides Deviser and its Business Partners specialized knowledge and expertise in the Canadian Health Care sector. Dr. Gouws has practiced medicine since 1985, and has worked in New Zealand, South Africa and Canada. He has worked extensively in the occupational health field since 1995, both as a clinician and in managerial positions with a special interest in disability management and chronic pain. Over the last years Dr. Gouws has limited his work to his consulting practice, doing independent medical evaluations for lawyers, insurance companies, employers, government agencies and union examinees while regularly testifying as an expert witness in the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
Vern Strompkins and Centrex Financial are Deviser’s independent mortgage advisor. With over 40 years of experience in underwriting, management, business planning, financial analysis, decision analysis, Vern has the breadth and depth of experience needed to quickly understand financing solutions and craft the most suitable program for almost any qualified lender.
Before staring Delta Pacific Management Corp dba Centrex Financial, Vern spent over
40 years with some of the biggest banks and financial institutions in Canada. Vern was groomed and trained on how to deeply look into credit applications to better understand lending possibilities for borrowers all over the country. With Vern’s extensive background and experience in lending he has tackled some of the trickiest lending scenarios modern finance has brought to the table.
Cyndie Carkeek is an experienced Regional Sales Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the Marketing and Advertising industry. She brings to the Deviser team her exceptional research and analysis skills, and as a long time sales professional, her proven skills in event management and team building. She is highly motivated and goal-oriented, working cross-functionally with products and editorial data, customer support, staff training and operations. She excels at identifying efficiencies throughout the sales process as well as leading and managing SEO/SEM programs, marketing databases, social media and/or display advertising campaigns. Cyndie is highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform and motivate!
Trevor brings to Deviser extensive experience in the marine industry developed from a comprehensive career as a Yachtmaster Offshore Instructor for both sail and power, marine mechanical experience and training and comprehensive and successful sales track record. He founded Aviso Yacht Sales in 2015, a full-service yacht brokerage and is well versed in cross-border transactions with an in depth knowledge about local and international yacht regulations. Trevor has worked with large marine and yacht manufacturers in the USA and Europe as well as small business development and start-ups. Trevor’s successes in this industry have classified him as a specialist in the analysis of marine based businesses. He lives in Nanaimo, BC with his daughter Abigail and is very active in the local sailing/racing community.
